The Lewisham Film Office, managed by The Film Office has seen a record amount of filming take place over the last few months with productions from far and wide coming to make the most of what the borough has to offer. We’ve picked out a few highlights below. See if you can spot your neighbourhood…
BBC Women in Sport promo
The BBC took to Deptford Market Square to film their latest ad campaign ‘We Know Our Place’, empowering women in Sport. The production set up a fake news stand with newspapers covering inspiring stories of female athletes. The campaign aims to challenge out-dated perceptions about women in sport and empower young women to follow their sporting dreams. In the summer of 2019 after the BBC’s last campaign ‘Change the Game’, more than 45 million people consumed women’s sport content across BBC platforms, with 28 million watching the Fifa Women’s World Cup.

Brewdog
Craft beer company Brew Dog came to us set on filming at the Catford Shopping Centre for their latest ad campaign for ‘Lost Lager’. The production set up at Catford for a days filming that involved dressing the centre with market stalls and filming a spoken word performance with the artist on top a crate of Brew Dog beer. The ad campaign in true Brew Dog style, it aims to challenge lager drinkers in their own distinctive Punk way. The creative route takes aim at the beer commercial category by calling out the fake ideals and aspirations that they exhibit in their advertising, with context & environment at the heart of the campaign to maximise its impact.
